The Grand Tour is the traditional European travel undertaken by mainly young, upper class, European "men of means" in the company of a knowledgeable guide or tutor. It served as an education rite of passage and its value was both in exposure to culture and art as well as to aristocratic and fashionable society.
Le Petit Grand Tour for Young Women is a modern reinterpretation of the Grand Tour. During this 3-week long trip, young women learn about European art, society and culture from the oft-overlooked female perspective. We explore women as artists, as subjects, as rulers, as commoners, as courtesans, as queens... and everything in between.
The trip, led by two powerhouse women (see left), is supplemented with fun and interactive workshops to develop etiquette, poise, presentation skills, conversation skills and other success skills.
Most European trips (at least our first ones) are a whirlwind of cities, museums and cathedrals... a rapid-paced, blurry "overview" with little substance. In contrast, Le Petit Grand Tour is a priceless, life-enhancing experience only for 12 lucky young ladies.
